Run the following command to verify the status of the agent process (datacollector):

To view where the agents are running in your environment and what version of the agents are running, click Agents in the Lacework Console.
📄️ View Agent Logs
Important log messages from an active Lacework agent are appended to the standard log file defined for services on the Linux host where the agent is running. For example, on systemd managed systems, log messages are included in journald. For other systems log messages are included in /var/log/syslog.
📄️ View Agent Details on the Lacework Console
After you successfully install and configure the agent, it is displayed in the Lacework Console.
📄️ View Host Details on the Lacework Console
After you successfully install and configure the agent, the Lacework Console collects and displays information about each host machine.
📄️ Start, Stop, or Restart the Agent
The Lacework Linux agent service is named datacollector. Once installed, Linux utilities like service, initctl, or systemctl can be used to manage the service. Common commands are:
📄️ Upgrade the Agent
When you upgrade the Linux agent, it is non-disruptively installed. A machine reboot is not required. The agent runs some basic health checks after the upgrade is complete and the previously installed version of the agent stops running only after the new version is fully functional. If the upgrade fails, it is automatically rolled back to the previously installed version on the host machine.
